It was quiet….
Too quiet.
The silence coupled with the mist of darkness made her movements seem surreal. The only thing that made any noise was her hammering heart as well as her occasional gasp for air.
She glanced around the moonlit street and prayed it stayed as it was. Desolate and deserted. For after going through hell, she could not risk being caught.
